Registration does not intentionally create an account session, start Turnstile, store registration data on the server, or write new Leviathan preference storage before Accept is selected.

No advertising cookies.
No optional storage before acceptance.
This policy explains the cookies and browser storage Leviathan uses and when they are allowed to start.

Leviathan does not intentionally set new optional cookies or preference storage for a new registration before the user actively accepts the applicable policies.
Session cookie
lv_session is an HTTP-only, Secure, SameSite=Lax cookie used after authentication to keep you signed in. Its lifetime depends on whether “Keep me signed in” is selected and may be up to 30 days.
OAuth cookie
lv_oauth may be used temporarily during supported external sign-in flows to protect state and safely complete authentication.
Theme preference
lvt_theme may store your chosen light or dark appearance only after the current policy acceptance has been recorded in the browser.
Acceptance record
lvt_policy_accept_20261004 is local browser storage used to remember that the current policy set was actively accepted on that browser. The server separately records accepted policy versions when an account is created.
No advertising or analytics cookies
Leviathan does not currently use advertising cookies or third-party analytics cookies on the registration flow. If this changes, this policy and the consent controls must be updated before those technologies are enabled.
THIRD-PARTY STORAGE
External providers load only when needed.
Cloudflare Turnstile is deferred until registration policies are accepted. Google and Microsoft authentication begin only when you deliberately select those providers. Those providers may use their own cookies or storage on their domains under their own policies.
CONTROLS
You remain in control of browser storage.
You can remove Leviathan cookies and local storage through your browser. Removing a session cookie signs you out. Removing preference storage may reset appearance or consent-memory state and can cause Leviathan to ask for acceptance again before optional registration processing.
